5.2 we shall find out who is going to be the head of the country in Finland for the next six years. And even though talking politics isn´t generally the most interesting (read: hottest) topic of all, this year it is. See, Finland could become a forerunner and a textbook example of equality. The other of the candidates who managed to the final round, Pekka Haavisto is openly gay (and his partner is Ecuadorian hairdresser called Antonio Flores! Aww.) Mr. Haavisto doesn´t melt hearts just by his opennes but he is also otherwise very accomplished. A very, very good candidate for aspiring to be the president.

But the biggest news here isn´t that Haavisto is gay. Absolutely and utterly no. The big thing here worth noticing is that no-one in Finland actually give a damn wether the spouse of the president in Janet or Jack (exept the a few people who can´t understand the consept of live and let live). It just isn´t essential what you do and with whom behind closed doors when a mans abilities or accomplishments are measured. So way to go Pekka! ;D I think Ninni agrees with me.
