Man of the Month: Til Schweiger

July: Hot inglorious Bastard

Is it getting more hot in here or is it just me? hot hot hot...

When hearing some rumors that this man is actually living in Germany, I found myself looking cheap, student wallet-fitting flight tickets straight to Berlin. I mean just look at him and that handsome face... oh. I wonder does he need an au pair in a minute? ;)

I myself don't know much about this gorgeous creature except one thing: His character, Hugo Stiglitz, stole a part of my young heart in the Inglorious Bastards movie. That attitude! Oh, Gosh. Have you seen this movie? Oh, you should darlings, you definitely should. I recommend it just because you can enjoy those eyes of Til Schweiger just a bit longer... oh, he's so handsome. And that German...lovelove.

What is mysterious thing about this man is that honestly saying I usually don't get fascinated if man has big muscles and nice smile. Til Schweiger still manages to make me weak. I guess it's all about that natural charisma or something. Enyways, he's definitely earned his place in our man of the month!

Ninni Schweiger... doesn't sound that bad, eh ;)

Here below you can enjoy trailer of Kokowääh where this gorgeous man is acting, enjoy!

'' Ich kann nicht kochen '', oh so sweet. I guess we have something in common  ;)

Totally Men-free Year.

Yes, you little sweeties. You read correctly.
Today I and our lovely Feo decided something REALLY radical: Manless year. No more crushes or yearning for someone not existing.

From where we got this extreme idea? Let's see...
When having watched about an year how some of your friends are, despite your several advices, ruining their lives with these basic one-night-stand-boozers (Yea, your friends really believe these men truly love and care about them) and having had enough with these ex-crushes who are constantly surrounding you like a hungry shark and having realized there maybe isn't this man of your dreams anywhere near you right now, you definitely need some sort of timeout. Timeout from men. Definitely then, when having heard reluctantly everything about the sex lives of people around you in just one weekend...

No, no, no more this, please.

Ps. Exceptions are allowed. In serious matter!
In case you, the man of my dreams, are reading this now don't worry: Feo and I made the deal we'll have a serious meeting and discuss in case I lay my eye on you ;) So much for this radical change, eh... just kidding, I hold on what I've promised ;)

Coffee, actually

A cafeteria that never seems to be open. Grandpas café. (Vaarin kahvila)

This lovely little cafeteria is located in the centre of Lahti (entrance from kauppahalli or the marketplace) and just happens to be one of our favourite places to sit down and have a cup of coffee and chat with old friends. Atmospheric wooden walls seem to enfold you to the aroma of fresh coffee and just-baked cardamom bread. It gives shelter from the cold, harsh wind and mean glances of the town residents.

Mostly this lovely old-fashioned oasis on the middle of granite buildings is filled with elderly people browsing newspapers, tattling and looking back to the older days which isn’t bad at all, in fact pretty amusing. And when you would actually like to visit the place, it’s always closed. (Open Monday to Friday 7–16, Saturday 7–13) but every now and then, when there is no rush, sun gilds the air and people forget sadness and sorrow for a moment Grandpas café is open.

It's not about magic, or mysticism. It's just about coffee, actually.
