Mystery of Men

What is the difference between Finnish guys and Dutch guys?
When spending a  lovely day off evening with our Feo and our good old friend M, we decided to go for a couple of drinks and say hello to some Dutch friends of this friend of ours. Soon I and Feo founded a mysterious side about these Dutch guys... Politeness.

Comparing them to their Finnish colleagues, they were buying us everything we wanted and answering our questions,  properly. When asking them for example ''Hi how are you?'', they answered in long sentences, not just with the couple of words. How sweet is that.

A total surprise was that they were buying us drinks, giving their credit cards and codes to us AND they actually weren't drunk. I mean come on, who'd do that here in Finland when being sober? I was truly amazed that there are men like that existing, asking truly and SOBER: ''Would you like to have something to drink?'' When talking about this with them they were amazed that this isn't actually any self-evidence. In the Netherlands at least it is a habit that everyone buys drinks to everybody without a question. No matter if you like your company or not, you need to buy them drinks.

Why in the world men in Finland aren't doing that when getting to know them for a first time? Talking in long sentences and being a gentlemen. Now that is a true mystery.

Ps. Because I'm now in my workplace and have my break, you darlings will have your Fridays Five in the evening ;)
